This is the GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 running shoe. This shoe continues to be a luxurious go-to trainer for neutral runners looking for a soft, comfortable shoe.
The new GEL™ technology cushioning unit now wraps around the rearfoot for improved impact protection and underfoot softness.
The TRUSSTIC™ system is found under the arch of the shoe. This thermoplastic piece provides stability, reduces weight, and helps extend the life of the shoe. For women this piece offers added support in the direction of forward motion. In the men’s model, this piece provides added support toward the inside of the arch.
The shoe has been reconfigured with an additional 2 millimeters of soft, bouncy FLYTEFOAM™ Propel midsole foam, allowing the sole to compress a bit more when the foot first hits the ground for improved softness.
On the technical side, the GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 running shoe offers a 10mm drop from heel to forefoot for both men and women. The men’s model weighs approximately 10.2oz or 290g. The women’s model weighs approximately 8oz or 235g.
Finally, the flexible forefoot gives this update a smoother transition from footstrike to toe-off. All of these updates combined to give the new GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 a fantastic feel underfoot that you simply have to try to believe.
