No cellphones, just vibes. 2000 was a defining year for The Greatest Duo. Coming off an NCAA National Championship and looking to secure another, it was sophomore, Sue Bird’s, job to make sure incoming freshman, Diana Taurasi, “had a good time.”
You can be certain they had that and so much more. (The story of when Sue meet Dee for the first time is too funny ). Lucky for us all the chemistry was instant, and both hoopers were ready for the next step in their basketball careers: the WNBA.
